Macro Automation Studio Pricing: Plans, Devices, Credits

This page explains how Macro Automation Studio (MAS) pricing and billing work: the plans, how the price follows your device count, what AI credits pay for, and what happens when you change, cancel or fail to renew a subscription. It carries no prices; the current amounts are in the block at the end of this page and on the pricing page.

Macro Automation Studio pricing plans

• Individual includes everything in the studio: MAS Agent, the Code Editor and Python SDK, Asset Lab, Marketplace bots, the Scheduler and device groups. The ladder changes one thing only: how many devices run at once. A device is one concurrent self-hosted emulator or device the app runs on.
• Business is for organizations. It has a base price that includes a number of seats, with extra seats billed per month. Device capacity is priced on the Individual ladder, and cloud devices are the same add-on with the same credit allowance.

Both plans bill monthly or annually, and annual billing takes a percentage off.

The device ladder

One device has its own price. From two devices upward the price is a base amount plus a fixed amount per device, so every extra device adds the same small step. The ladder never changes what you can do, only how many devices run at the same time.

The free trial

A new account starts on a free trial with full access for a few days. The Subscription page shows “You’re on a free trial” and the days left. Choose a plan before it ends to keep access without interruption; nothing is charged until you subscribe. When a trial or a subscription lapses, MAS opens the Subscription page and keeps you there until you pick a plan.

Cloud devices

A cloud device is an add-on to any paid plan. Each one has its own monthly price and includes a monthly allowance of AI credits. A cloud device is added on top of your plan’s devices; it does not use a plan device slot. Add or remove cloud devices at any time from Modify your plan: a device added mid-cycle is prorated for the rest of the period, and your renewal date does not move. The monthly allowance lives for its month plus a rollover period, then expires. What the device itself can do is on the Cloud devices page.

AI credits

Credits are spent only when MAS Agent or other AI features run. A finished macro runs at zero credits, on every plan and every device. Your balance shows on the Subscription page and on the Agent page while a session runs.

• Top-ups are one-time purchases available on any paid plan, in any amount within a set range. The Subscription page offers preset packs; the sticker price already includes the processing fee, and the full face value lands in your balance.
• Pack credits expire a fixed number of months after purchase. They freeze while a subscription lapses and unfreeze when you resubscribe.
• Expiring credits are spent first: the monthly allowance before pack credits. There is no volume bonus.

Change the device count

Adding devices uses keep-anchor proration on both payment providers:

1. Open the Subscription page and switch on Add devices under Modify your plan.
2. Set the New device count. The order summary shows the difference for the rest of the current period.
3. Confirm. You pay only that difference now, your renewal date does not change, and the new devices apply as soon as the payment settles. Renewals bill the new price from the next one.

With a card on file through Stripe the difference is charged to the saved card and nothing opens in the browser. With PayPal a one-time order opens in the browser; the devices apply once you approve it. A difference too small to charge is waived and the change applies at once.

The device count only goes up mid-cycle. To run fewer devices, cancel, wait until the period ends, then subscribe again with the new count.

Change the billing cycle

• Moving to a longer cycle takes effect immediately on Stripe: you pay the prorated difference today and the renewal date restarts. On PayPal the change needs your approval in the browser, nothing is charged today, and the new cycle starts at the next renewal.
• Moving to a shorter cycle is scheduled for the end of the current period. MAS emails a reminder before it applies, and you can cancel the scheduled change from the Subscription page until then.

One change per checkout: add devices, change the cycle, or change cloud devices, not all at once.

Cancel a subscription and reactivate

Cancelling stops auto-renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. The Subscription page then shows the end date.

• On Stripe you can click Reactivate any time before the period ends, with no payment.
• On PayPal a cancellation is final at PayPal; subscribe again once the period ends.

A failed renewal

When a renewal payment fails the subscription becomes past due and the Subscription page shows “Payment failed”. Access continues through a grace period.

• Stripe: click Retry payment. The invoice opens in your browser, and you can update the card first. The subscription returns to active as soon as the payment settles.
• PayPal: PayPal retries the charge on its own schedule. To change the funding source, update it in your PayPal account.

If no payment goes through before the grace period ends, access pauses until you subscribe again.

Stripe and PayPal

Every checkout opens in your system browser, never inside the app. Complete the payment there and return to the app; the Subscription page updates by itself once the provider confirms it. Card and debit payments go through Stripe, and PayPal handles subscriptions, cloud device add-ons and credit packs as well. Subscription prices are shown as base prices with processing fees shown at checkout; credit pack stickers already include the fee.

Where to manage it

Open Subscription in the sidebar. The page shows your current subscription with its device count, AI credits and remaining days, the Modify your plan panel, the credit packs, and Payment history. History lists every charge by purpose (initial subscribe, auto-renewal, cycle change, add devices, AI credits top-up) with its status: paid, pending, failed or refunded. MAS also emails you when a subscription activates, a renewal succeeds or fails, a plan change applies, a cancellation is scheduled, or a top-up lands.

Support

For a charge you do not recognise, a payment that did not land, or a refund request, email support@automationmacro.com with the date, the provider (Stripe or PayPal) and the email on your MAS account. 1 device is $5/mo. From 2 devices, the price is $5 plus $1 per device: 2 devices $7, 5 devices $10, 10 devices $15, 15 devices $20. Yearly billing takes 10 percent off. The trial lasts 3 days.

Cloud device add-on

$80 per cloud device per month with 20,000 AI credits included every month ($20 value); the monthly allowance lives for its month plus a 30-day rollover, then expires. A cloud device is added on top of your plan's devices; it does not use a plan device slot.

AI credits

1,000 credits = $1. Credits are spent only when MAS Agent or other AI features run. A finished macro runs at zero credits. Pack credits expire 12 months after purchase; they freeze while a subscription lapses and unfreeze when you resubscribe. Expiring credits are spent first: the monthly allowance before pack credits.
